Vacation

The girls and I are enjoying Cimarron New Mexico today.  We drove in yesterday and went on to Taos where we visited the Rio bridge, pix later.  We wanted to go to the adobes but they are closed for a few weeks.  It looks like we are here too early for much of the tourist places and museums.
We are going to have lunch at the Boy scout ranch which is huge, huge, huge.  Something like 16 thousand acres.

Correction: The boy scout ranch has 137,000 acres.. Whew

We want to visit the store there as well.
After staying one more night we will head back home.  The drive is not bad but no towns to speak of.  I do know this time we will make sandwiches for the trip home.  We drove for two hours before we came upon any place to eat.  We do have emergency supplies in the pickup but we didn't have to use them.
It has been great seeing our friends the Osborn's again.  They are the kind of friends that you feel like you just talked to the other day and you don't have to get to know them all over again.  They sure made us feel welcome and wanted.
