One of the ladies here at the Alvin church is having a baby next month. She had two boys and this one is a girl. I picked up some yarn and a crochet hook and made this for her. I hope she doesn't think its too pink. She doesn't want too much pink, so I made it with pink, brown and pink camo.
Its is just an over sized granny square.
I don't think it is... I love pink and brown...or blue and brown together! It looks really nice!
ReplyDeleteOh, you are too funny! "So I just picked up some yarn and made her one", "It's just an oversized granny square"...can I come stay with you for a month??? I think that when the Lord was giving out talent and energy he gave you a triple dose!! I LOVE the "not too pink" aphgan, um, afgahn, um afghan. Um...crocheted baby blanket....(hee-hee)

That is SO nice. What a great idea! I'd say if she doesn't like it, the baby will anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteI really did just pick up some yarn on Wednesday and it was done on Friday. I started another one with the scraps and I finished it last evening after church. I didnt do a scalloup on the edge of this one though.
Yes come and stay, we would have lots of fun. I think you would find I am not that exiting though. I do thank God for the talent he gave me, I try to use it and expand upon it.
I am sort of one of those people who can do lots of things a little bit and not one who has a great talent for one exceptional thing. When He was handing out talent I got powdered with many little talents and others got dunked in a few and are really good at them.
See I didnt get the spelling gift lol. It was suppose to be exciting not exiting.
ReplyDeleteDebbie! That is soooo how I see myself. I can do all this stuff pretty well, (or at least well enough to work), and sometime I go to be with so many projects going on in my head I can hardly wind down! It must be why I enjoy your blog so much, not just a spiritual connection, but a "powdered with many little talents" connection as well. I like that term. I think I'll claim it!
ReplyDeleteBlessings! (are you home yet???)
Linda
Linda,
ReplyDeleteI was trying to think of a descriptive word that would indicate little bits and not large chunks and thats what I came up with.
We are not home yet. We pick the preacher and wife up at the airport tomorrow morning and I cant decide if we should leave from there or what. They have lots on their schedule so we may as well leave.
Plus its been a battle every day. I just got tired of writing about it. Also it seems to get worse every day.
