  1. Hi!
Your blog is on my 'daily stop' list. Sure do miss seeing you here! I really enjoy keeping up with you guys via this blog, and am so happy for you that things are going well.
We are hosting another FPU class, at our church this time. I would like your permission to speak of you and your great commitment both to each other and the Lord on stewardship. You and Jeff are amazing people with an amazing story to tell and I feel it could inspire/encourage some in our class.

    Stay Special!

  2. Dear Lonely Laundry Lady,
I miss you too. I see you are online sometimes and think we should skype. Of course you can speak about Jeff and I. I dont think we are anything special but if you can find somethng to talk about then go right ahead.
How are things going for you guys? How did the new greenhouse do this year? Did you get to use any of you new jars yet?

  4. Oh, goodness..lets see... Our greenhouse didnt 'stay together', but then again you told us it wouldnt... ;~) We did however still grow in the raised beds that we had built in it and got wonderful crops! YAY!! :) I have been saving the money up to fix it the 'right' way, so I hopeful next season will be even more bountiful than this one! I have been using the jars. I have canned beans, pickles, tomatoes, okra and chicken (which we raised ourselves also). I LOVE IT!! We had quite the squash/zucchini crop this year, so I have given quite a lot of it away and still had a bunch to freeze along with baking breads and cookies and such with it.. My only regret is that I still need to work full time to continue toward our goals.. otherwise I would just be home baking and canning all the time. :) This winter I am going to begin teaching myself to sew.... wish you were here for help on that one!! hehee.. wish me luck!

  5. Dear Lonley Laundry Lady,
I am so proud of you. I wish I was there to help you learn to sew too but you have a can do attitude and I am sure you will figure it out. I dont know if you are a member of the extension club in your town but if you are not I know at least two of the ladies in it are wonderful seamstresses. They actually have good meetings. I would gladly tell you their names if you would like me to. Both of them are friend of mine. One actually lives near you and I bet she would like to teach you. I will ask her and get back with you.
Yeah about the raised beds and great crops. You are going to fill your pantry.
    Go LLL
