missionary update

BUSH BUNNY BRENDA HOPPING BACK TO AFRICA

It has been really fun visiting many of you during my travels, but the dry season is upon us and much work awaits us.
I’m flying out on April 3rd from Houston via Atlanta to South Africa.
I’ll lay over 2 days in South Africa in order to meet with Christian friends who assist us in many ways from that country.
I’ll also meet with Leona Phillips who will be joining me in Balama on April 13th.
I’ll be back in Moz. on April 7th. I will not have regular e-mail access during my travels.
Eric informs me that Moz. internet only works from 2a.m. to 4p.m. (due to overloading in the daytime) so be patient if you write me.

Your love gifts and pledges have been very generous, making it possible to continue helping the 1,700+ orphans and widows in our program.
We will also be able to open a new mission site to bring Jesus to remote areas of Namuno (Nah-moo-noo) county, where the gospel has never been preached.
Keep us in your prayers as this year’s activities will keep all of us hopping from dawn till dark.

Don Hitsman of Holland, MI, has committed to an extended stay through the middle of October to help us with the massive construction project.
If anyone else can come from August to November to help, it would be greatly appreciated.
November is our 2nd busiest month of the year with 5 food distributions/week as the rainy season breathes down our necks.

Below is a prayer for our nation written by Billy Graham.
Overhearing many airport conversations gave me a good overall idea of what is on people’s minds.
Most were not Christ centered.
Please continue to pray for our nation, as our Lord’s return is very near.

THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!



Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, Woe to those who call evil good, but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.


We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.


We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self- esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.


We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it "freedom of expression".

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin = and Set us free. Amen!



Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God!'
