Pink Monkey

The girls and I arrived safe from the Cimarron show. The turnout there wasn't as good as hoped but we did at least pay our way with a little extra. We went to Dodge after and I found a few things at Hobby Lobby to use with the Pink Monkey line. The folks at the show loved the name Pink Monkey.
I want to get the logo digitized so I can embroider it on items for us to wear to shows and such.
Jeff is still sick. I am tired of him being sick and he is sick of being sick. I guess the girls and I will go to church without him tomorrow.

Cimarron Holly Jolly Christmas show

We are almost ready to head out to go to the Cimarron Holly Jolly Christmas show today and tomorrow. I am really excited to see how my changing up my display will help.
In other news Jeff is still sick. I keep thinking he is getting better and then he gets worse again. We have been praying and praying. Please pray too. He has been taking garlic like crazy and he stinks to prove it. He says his lungs feel better than ever he just cant quit coughing. He slept on the couch last night so he wouldn't keep me up all night. I would rather he got a good nights sleep in his own bed.

Pink Monkey Buttons

Joy and Mollie have been busy making Pink Monkey Soap buttons for us to sell at the craft show tomorrow. They are so cute. My pink bottles didn't come in so we won't be able to take that style to the show.
I may take a few bottles of real vanilla to sell.
Mom is bringing some of her crochet dish cloths.
Kristy brought the cutest purse boxes for me to take.
I thought about mixing up some more thieves oil to take, don't know if I will or not. I have about 5 spray bottles I can use for it. I might just do that as its easy to make and profitable to sell.

Company last night

Last evening we had some friends come over and I sure enjoyed it. I realized we don't have friends over since Bill and Christina moved away. I miss having folks to socialize with. Jeff was still sick so he stayed in the bedroom so as not to infect anyone. So he missed out. Their younger girl saw the tea things and wanted to have tea so they had tea. It was their first time over so it was talk, talk, talk. I hope they enjoyed it enough to come back again.
It's hard to find friends around here because everyone has so much family they spend time with. Not that there is anything wrong with that its just that we don't. We don't party and drink so bar hopping wouldn't be fun. We like to do things that the kids can do too. We like our family. Doing things together with other families is what is fun to us or with folks who don't mind being with other peoples kids.
I think our favorite thing to do is visit. We don't have to watch movies or be entertained, we just like to visit.

Progress

The turkey and pies are in the ovens. The dressing, sweet potatoes and white potatoes are cooking in crock pots. Mollie is making cheese cake. She needed a can of sweetened condensed milk and we didn't have any because its so expensive. I just made my own. Here's how
In blender.
1/2 c. hot water
1 c. non instant powdered milk or 2 c. powdered milk
1 c. sugar
1 T. butter
Mix in blender, scrape down as needed.
Looks and smells just like the canned, bet it tastes better though.
I have been making my own creamed soups and such and they are so much better.
I make up a batch of magic mix and when I need a cream soup I use that for the base. Its basically a white sauce. I then add celery salt, mushrooms or whatever. Its so much better for you than canned and fresher and yummy to boot. Oh and of course so much cheaper.

I think he will live

I think Jeff is gonna live. He is off the couch. Yesterday he lay on the couch moaning and groaning. Today he went outside and walked around. He even used the leaf blower for a bit. I told him not to overdo it and he said he wouldn't. I was wondering how long he was going to be down. I am so glad he is on the mend.

Salt bar results

By George I think I've got it. The salt bars are pretty easy to make and turn out very pretty. I will probably make a few more batches next week. After the cure I will be testing them and asking others to test to see if they are good enough to add to my line.
I am now waiting on bottles for the woman's line of hand cleaner. They were shipped today or yesterday so I hope to get them and get some packaged before the show this weekend.
Jeff has been working on a web page as he feels able. He is still fighting whatever ails him. I was beginning to cough yesterday but Jeff gave me garlic and it helped a lot. I will take it up through tomorrow and then I want it to get out of my system for the show.
