I am getting better at making homemade tortillas. They are getting to be more round and look a little more like they are suppose to. They have always tasted good, just looked like some weird abstract thing. My friend Rosemary told me about the tortilla flour she uses. Its at Wal-Mart in the Mexican food section. It already has everything but water in it. Its in a green bag and its called flour tortilla mix by great value. Its a bit more than regular flour but its way less than buying tortillas. You can make as many or as few as you want. They taste so much better than store bought and are so much cheaper I am going to try not to buy them anymore.
Every time I learn to make something else from scratch it makes me happy. I know what is in it and I know there are no preservatives. I am a simple woman and strange things make me happy. Oh well.

Getting the house ready to sell
We have been working like crazy getting the house ready to go on the market. It is a bad time to try to sell but if the Lord is willing it will. Our friends are praying for us I think. Maybe they are praying it wont sell. LOL. We live in a beautiful home that many would like to have, problem is that most don't have the finances for it. Please pray that God will direct a buyer to us and we can join Jeff in Tulsa. I will post pictures of the interior asap.

Canning last of the pork chili
I am canning the last of the pork chili right now. It has about 45 min left and then that is done. I will can the beef in about a week and a half. It was nice having Jeff home because he cut up the last four pork roasts for me and we had an assembly line going. Worked great. Total pork chili canned will be 38 quarts.

Fun time at chruch
Tonight we had our Christmas supper. Our pastors invited the other churches and a few came, it was nice. There was so much good food as always.
My granddaughters are here and my girls and the grands all wanted friends to spend the night. Joy stayed at the preachers. The preachers girls are here as are two other friends so that makes, let me see, 8 girls here plus Jeff and I. Joy wanted sleep so she begged to stay with the preacher. LOL. Tomorrow we are making the gingerbread houses like Joella made with the kids. With all these kids it should be fun.

Fun with Joella
Some of the kids with their gingerbread houses.
The aroma here is fabulous

I am canning the sweet pork right now. Four pork roasts made 14 quarts of pieces with sauce. I filled each jar about 2/3 full of pork pieces and filled the rest of the way with sauce. I left one inch head space. Pressure canned for 90 min at 15 lbs. pressure. It sure smells good and those from the canner that is done look good.
