A man who attended our church in the past has died and his funeral is today.
I am cooking up a big pot of potatoes to make a 9X13 pan of potatoes. These always go over good at church dinners and funerals. Just boil a big pot of potatoes. When they are soft, mash them with milk and butter or chicken broth if you want a less fattening variety. Spread them into a 9X13 pan and top with grated cheese.
When there is a funeral in town all the churches bring food to the dinner. This being a small town, this practice eases the burden for each church and the ladies of that church.
