It occurred to me today that if our government is intent that as Americans we should prepare for and be ready for a disaster, why aren't they doing more in the education and awareness area? It seems to me that if we as a people are suppose to have 3 days worth of food and water which by the way has changed to two weeks. The government should be more up front about how to do this. Many folks only have enough food on hand for a day or two.
I know in the winter, every time the forecast is for a big storm the stores are inundated with shoppers stocking supplies. Why aren't we doing this all year?
Does the government want the citizens to starve? Go crazy rioting? Pillage the shops? Should there be more education from the media about being prepared for an emergency? IF not then why?
Just wondering.
