Maybe tomorrow
Jeff and Mollie said the crackers are good. We will see, maybe its not as bad as I thought.
Monday
When that is all done I will make my salt bars, I just have to decide what fragrances would be good. I think eucalyptus would be good for one. I'll
have to look through the fragrances and decide on the other one.
I am finally getting into the gift making mode. Right now I am working on a few things for my married daughters. I don't have a clue what I will do for the unmarried ones.

Monday- Baking Day
1. bread
2. crackers
3. pumpkin bread
Then I want to make a batch or two of salt bars. The ones that are curing smell so good. Only two more weeks until I can try them. I have to make more because if they are wonderful, I want them cured for Christmas so I just have to make up several batches, knowing they will be wonderful.
I think I will experiment with making sugar soap. It is suppose to make the soap more sudsy. The salt makes the soap scrubby and bubbly. Oh what fun I have. Who else gets to play at work?
I will be working this week on my Pink Monkey items. I need to get a card made. Business cards. I am so happy with the name and logo. The folks at the craft show in Cimarron sure seemed to like the name.
Caroline Ellen Sonday and Joseph Samuel Sonday
Joseph Samuel Sonday and Caroline Sonday came from Missouri in a covered wagon. Somewhere along the way the wagon train had to stop and they set up tents. My aunt Dot was born in a tent along the way west. When they setteled I think it was in the Brewster Kansas area.
The next two births were boys. Ralph and Roy. Roy was my grandpa.
Joseph worked in an ice house for many years. He died because he accidently opened the wrong valve in the ice house. One was for water and other one was for ammonia. For some reason he opened the wrong valve one day and of course the ammonia caused him to suck in his breath. He died three days later after much pain.
My great grandma was a tiny little woman. I towered over her even though I am a girl. She had grit thats for sure.
She came west in a covered wagon and lived to watch man walk on the moon. I spent a lot of time with great grandma. She facinated me. She always came up with things for me to do. I bet I tried her patience.
She taught me how to sew on her treadle machine. I wish I had that machine. The first thing I learned to sew was strips so she could crochet them into rugs. You had to sew them a certain way so that they could be crochet without bumps and lumps.
One time she gave Roberta and I old glass jars and some clay. She told us to cover the bottle with the clay. When that was done she spray painted the clay gold. We then went through her button box and picked out buttons to push into the clay. I think we fought about who got what buttons. I still have my jar. I wonder if Roberta does.
I remember one time grandma wanted to do a crewel stitchery thing of the tree of life. I helped her draw the pattern on the back blank part of an old calendar. She then stitched the picture on a piece of gunny sack. It was a big picture, I think I still have that around too.
Everything grandma did was wonderful. I wanted to be a part of everything she did.

I want to get the logo digitized so I can embroider it on items for us to wear to shows and such.
Jeff is still sick. I am tired of him being sick and he is sick of being sick. I guess the girls and I will go to church without him tomorrow.

Cimarron Holly Jolly Christmas show
In other news Jeff is still sick. I keep thinking he is getting better and then he gets worse again. We have been praying and praying. Please pray too. He has been taking garlic like crazy and he stinks to prove it. He says his lungs feel better than ever he just cant quit coughing. He slept on the couch last night so he wouldn't keep me up all night. I would rather he got a good nights sleep in his own bed.

Pink Monkey Buttons
I may take a few bottles of real vanilla to sell.
Mom is bringing some of her crochet dish cloths.
Kristy brought the cutest purse boxes for me to take.
I thought about mixing up some more thieves oil to take, don't know if I will or not. I have about 5 spray bottles I can use for it. I might just do that as its easy to make and profitable to sell.
Company last night
It's hard to find friends around here because everyone has so much family they spend time with. Not that there is anything wrong with that its just that we don't. We don't party and drink so bar hopping wouldn't be fun. We like to do things that the kids can do too. We like our family. Doing things together with other families is what is fun to us or with folks who don't mind being with other peoples kids.
I think our favorite thing to do is visit. We don't have to watch movies or be entertained, we just like to visit.
Progress
In blender.
1/2 c. hot water
1 c. non instant powdered milk or 2 c. powdered milk
1 c. sugar
1 T. butter
Mix in blender, scrape down as needed.
Looks and smells just like the canned, bet it tastes better though.
I have been making my own creamed soups and such and they are so much better.
I make up a batch of magic mix and when I need a cream soup I use that for the base. Its basically a white sauce. I then add celery salt, mushrooms or whatever. Its so much better for you than canned and fresher and yummy to boot. Oh and of course so much cheaper.
Happy Thanksgiving
The girls and I are getting ready to begin the cooking.

In case you didn't realize it, Sharyl Attkisson is the investigative reporter behind the groundbreaking CBS News study that found H1N1 flu cases are NOT as prevalent as feared.
In fact, they’re barely on the radar screen.
How did this startling information come about, and why is the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) painting a different picture entirely?
The more you know the better decesions you can make for your health and your life. Study and learn. Be informed.
Must watch----for women and young ladies only
This video is about IBC Inflammatory breast cancer. It is a little know but deadly disease. Please note there are pictures of women's breast's who have this disease. Mom's watch this first before you show it to your teenage daughters.
Candy said this:
IBC, or Inflammatory Breast Cancer, is a form of breast cancer that is not detected via a lump, or via mammograms. It can strike at any age, and often by the time it is diagnosed, the patient is already in stage four of the cancer. Most people, and even a large number of cancer hotlines, have never heard of this killer. Often, the first sign is a small irritated area on the breast that often gets diagnosed as a bug bite. IBC usually makes the breast a bit larger than usual, with an inverted nipple. If you have any of these symptoms, don't play games, but insist your doctor check you for IBC. A mammogram will not detect it, but a biopsy will.

Salt bar results
I am now waiting on bottles for the woman's line of hand cleaner. They were shipped today or yesterday so I hope to get them and get some packaged before the show this weekend.
Jeff has been working on a web page as he feels able. He is still fighting whatever ails him. I was beginning to cough yesterday but Jeff gave me garlic and it helped a lot. I will take it up through tomorrow and then I want it to get out of my system for the show.

I woke up with this verse in my heart
In this day and time and in fact in all days and times we as a people think some things are right that truly are death. We must study and be vigilant. The enemy is out to steal, kill and destroy. We have been raised to believe that certain interests have our best interest at heart, only now to discover that it isn't so. With study a person can see that it has never been so. A man cannot serve two masters. No more yes buts. If you believe God is sovereign and eternal than He should be your master. You cannot serve Him and yourself, the government or anything else. Only God has our best interest at heart. The government doesn't care about you. But God does and he wants a relationship with you. He wants to spend eternity with you, but you have to choose Him above all else.
Choose God above all else. Think about that. What exactly does that mean? Ponder and pray and seek for yourself the answers the Lord has for you.

Bible test
Using the New International Version Bible, answer the following questions to this NIV quiz.
Do not rely on your memory. As the Bible is the final authority, you must take the answer from the Bible verse (not from footnotes but from the text).
Fill in the missing words in Matthew 5:44. "Love your enemies,__________ them that curse you, ______________ to them that hate you, and pray for them that __________ and persecute you."
According to Matthew 17:21, what two things are required to cast out this type of demon?
According to Matthew 18:11, why did Jesus come to earth?
According to Matthew 27:2, what was Pilate's first name?
In Matthew 27:35, when the wicked soldiers parted His garments, they were fulfilling the words of the prophet. Copy what the prophet said in Matthew 27:35 from the NIV.
In Mark 3:15, Jesus gave the apostles power to cast out demons and to: ____________
According to Mark 7:16, what does a man need to be able to hear?
According to Luke 7:28, what was John? (teacher, prophet, carpenter, etc.). What is his title or last name?
In Luke 9:55, what did the disciples not know?
In Luke 9:56, what did the Son of man not come to do? According to this verse, what did He come to do?
In Luke 22:14, how many apostles were with Jesus?
According to Luke 23:38, in what three languages was the superscription written?
In Luke 24:42, what did they give Jesus to eat with His fish?
John 3:13 is a very important verse, proving the deity of Christ. According to this verse (as Jesus spoke), where is the Son of man?
What happened each year as told in John 5:4?
In John 7:50, what time of day did Nicodemus come to Jesus?
In Acts 8:37, what is the one requirement for baptism?
What did Saul ask Jesus in Acts 9:6?
Write the name of the man mentioned in Acts 15:34.
Study Acts 24:6-8. What would the Jew have done with Paul? What was the chief captain's name? What did the chief captain command?
Copy Romans 16:24 word for word from the NIV.
First Timothy 3:16 is perhaps the greatest verse in the New Testament concerning the deity of Christ. In this verse, who was manifested in the flesh?
In the second part of First Peter 4:14, how do [they] speak of Christ? And, what do we Christians do?
Who are the three Persons of the Trinity in First John 5:7?
Revelation 1:11 is another very important verse that proves the deity of Christ. In the first part of this verse Jesus said, "I am the A______________ and O___________, the _________ and the _______:"
Conclusion: Little space is provided for your answers, but it's much more than needed. If you followed the instructions above, you not only failed the test, you receive a big goose egg.
(Ed. These are all missing in the NIV.) So now what do you think of your "accurate, easy to understand, up to date Bible"?
If you would like to improve your score, and in fact score 100%, you can take this test using the Authorized (King James) Bible.

What I'm reading
http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/archivos_pdf/BeWiseAsSerpents01.pdf
I just started reading but it seems good so far. Scott A. Johnson recommended it.
Jeff is very sick, we went to town today and he said he should not have. He is going to stay home tomorrow I think.
I know he wants to address our church. He has had a revelation from God and wants to share it with the church. It is a hard message so I am sure he will step on some toes. I am hoping our brothers and sisters can understand. We are so convinced that our time on earth is so very short and we must open our eyes. We must be daily in His word and prayer. Learning and not being deceived. There is only one God and He must be foremost in our hearts, minds and souls. The enemy is trying to deceive us in any way possible, weather it be government, doctors, media or whatever. We must, must, must listen to teachers who use the true Bible and not a knock off version published by apostates. We must all speak the same language, IE use the same version of the Bible, the only true version. Do your homework people. The niv is missing over 64,000 words that are in the King James.
Yes it matters and yes it is a big deal. It is important. Extremely important not to be deceived.

Making bread
For lunch we are having chicken and dumplings with mashed potatoes and a green vegetable.
While we were at Kaleena's I discovered I had done a terrible job training her to cook. She doesn't go hungry but she doesn't know too much.
I think the younger girls are a little better trained. I decided I will do more training with the younger girls as well.
I especially need to get Hannah in the kitchen.

Soap class and we are back
We spent Saturday and Sunday with Kaleena and Justin. Justin got us tickets to the VIP show at the Dutton's. We got to see four of the five acts which will open at their theater next year. It was great.
Hannah loves the Dutton's and the cats Pajamas.
We arrived home at about 4:30 this afternoon. It was good to get home while it was still light out.
Tomorrow its back to the grind.
Miss you all.

Soap class
We get to sit in on some classes today. It will be interesting.
Today after we sit in on some classes we will probably go to some Goodwill stores in Joplin. There is one thrift store just a block away I want to visit as well.
After the soap class tomorrow we will make our way to Branson to spend the rest of the day and night and part of Sunday with Kaleena and Justin. I think Justin is getting us tickets to see a show. He works at a ticket place. We will then have a meal together and call it our thanksgiving.

Packaging Pink Monkey
Finally they packaged some pink monkey hand cleaner into 3oz and 8oz containers.
I am teaching Mollie right now how to make pink monkey.
Jeff is still sick. He feels hot then cold. I am so glad I didn't get whatever he has. We are planning to leave for Baxter Springs tomorrow. I hope he is better by then. It seems like he hangs onto sickness longer than anyone else. When he doesn't feel good he sighs a lot and sort of moans. Poor guy.

Pink Monkey
Natural and Gentle to earth and skin. Made in Oklahoma This is a name I am tossing around for my product.
Made in Oklahoma
Ezekiel banana bread
Here is my recipe.
Banana Bread
5 mashed bananas
1/2 c.Ezekiel flour
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
3 c white flour
2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 T. cinnamon
Mix this together and divide between two loaf pans you have already greased. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 -65 min. Let cool in pan for 10 min. then turn out onto cake rack, cool, slice and eat.
Questions answered
What is Ezekiel flour and where do you get it?
I make my own version of Ezekiel flour because I don't always have exactly what the Bible calls for in Ezekiel 4:9
Eze 4:9 Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.
When I am making Ezekiel flour I go to my pantry with a bowl of some sort. I then look through my beans, rice, barley, oats, corn etc. I take some of each 1/2 to 1 cup of each depending on how much I want to make. I take some of any grains I have. I don't use flax or other oily seeds that would make it go rancid. If I want to use them I will put them in when I make bread, (flax). I then grind the beans and grains in my grain grinder and package in a baggie or jar. I keep this flour in the freezer to keep it fresh.
When I bake bread I just add 1/2 a cup or so to my bread dough at the beginning. I feel like this adds more complex proteins and such to my bread.
What is the deal with the yogurt?
I love the taste of homemade cream cheese so I make my own. To make cream cheese I first have to make yogurt. To make yogurt I use my crock pot.
How to Make Yogurt I use the recipe I read on Candy's site.
Making yogurt is easy - especially if you do it in a slow cooker, or crock pot, as shown below...
NOTE: Start the below process in the evening, before you make dinner. This way, your yogurt will be ready the next morning, when you wake up.
INGREDIENTS:
-1/2 cup of store bought, natural, active/live culture, full fat (not low fat or fat free) plain yogurt. (This will be your starter. After your first batch of yogurt, you can use 1/2 cup of some of your homemade yogurt as a starter instead.)
-8 cups of whole milk. Pasteurized and Homogenized is fine, but do not use ultra-pasteurized.
HOW TO MAKE IT
1. Pour the milk into a crock pot, and turn the crock pot on low. Leave it alone for 2.5 hours, cooking on low.
2. Turn the crock pot off, leave the cover on, and let the milk sit for 3 hours.
3. Mix the yogurt starter into the milk.
4. Put the lid on the crock pot, and then fold and put a heavy bath towel over the crock pot to insulate in the leftover heat (leave the crock pot turned off), and go to bed.
6. The next morning, you'll have yogurt waiting for you in your crock pot. :-) Home made yogurt is thinner than store-bought.
7. Pour the yogurt into a container, cover it, and put it into the fridge. Let the yogurt fully cool down to the fridge temp.
8. Then, if you'd like to add fruit to your yogurt, put a few cups of chopped fruit (of your choice) into a blender, and blend. Then mix the blended fruit into the yogurt and return it to the fridge to cool back down to fridge temp.
If you'd like a thicker yogurt, then strain the yogurt through a double layer of cheese cloth, letting the yellow whey liquid drip through the cloth, and into a bowl. Do this for an hour or two, and you'll have a thicker yogurt. Straining the yogurt makes Greek Yogurt.
To make the cream cheese and whey:
WHAT YOU NEED
- One or more cups of plain yogurt. Store bought is fine, but homemade is the best.
- A double layer of cheesecloth
- A juice pitcher
- A fine strainer, which can fit on top of the juice pitcher
HOW TO MAKE IT
1. Put the fine strainer on top of the juice pitcher, and lay the double layer cheesecloth in the strainer.
2. Put the yogurt in the cheesecloth.
3. Cover over the yogurt, by either folding extra cheesecloth on top of it, or cover it with plastic wrap.
4. Place the whole contraption in the fridge for about 24 hours.
5. - The next day - you'll have yellow liquid whey in the juice pitcher, and creamy cream cheese in the cheesecloth.
Store the whey in a jar, and the cheese in a container, and keep both in the fridge. Use the cream cheese as an ingredient in cake frostings, fruit and veggie dips, and as a spread to have on homemade whole-wheat sourdough bread, etc.
Drink a few ounces of whey for tummy upsets. Also pour a bit of whey in with legumes or grains, when you are soaking them overnight. If you'd like to spruce up some oatmeal, then soak your oats overnight in water and 1/4 cup of whey. The next day, drain the oats, add fresh water, and cook them for about 5 minutes at a light boil.
The oatmeal will taste like a good, healthy sour - quite delicious.
I like to add a bit of salt to the cream cheese. I just mix it in when I put it in a container.

I think I'm gonna live
It is evening now and I am pretty sure I'm gonna live. I don't know if I had a touch of flu or food poisoning because Jeff is sick too although he hasn't thrown up. He seems to be better as well.
I was able to accomplish some things I wanted to today although not all of them.
The girls cleaned out the closet in the school room and rearranged it. I made the candied jalapenos and cut my soap. I did not make another batch of soap today because I just didn't feel up to it.
I am now making yogurt and tomorrow I will put in on to drain to make cream cheese. When you make things from scratch you have to plan ahead. I don't want to pay the high prices for cream cheese so I make my own and its so much better, you just cant have it right now unless you made it earlier in the week.
I want to try making crackers because that is another thing we like and always run out of.
I made two loaves of wheat bread. I need to get busy and grind some Ezekiel beans and such. My mom made some banana bread and she used some Ezekiel flour in it and she said it was very good. I want to try that. I have some pop corn I need to grind for my friend Lorie as well.
Maybe I can do that tomorrow.
I did a lot of praying and thanking God for healing me.
Monday
I don't know how much will actually happen the way I feel right now.
We leave Thursday to go see Joy and Kaleena and Justin and for me to teach a class on soap making. I am looking forward to seeing them.
I also need to make some yogurt and then some cream cheese.

We made it home
Jeff had a job interview today. He talked with 4 interviewers and is really excited about this opportunity. We are praying that this is the one God has for him. He is quite ready to work again.
We had so much fun and fellowship with Bill and Christina and the kidos.
It was hard to leave. Christina said us coming helped her with being there.
Next weekend we will go to Baxter and then Branson. Joy had her 17th the other day and Kaleena will be having a birthday on the 10th.

Happy Birthday Joy
Galveston
We then went to the beach and played in the sand and surf. It was cool playing in the surf on November 1st.
We then went to a Goodwill and Jeff found two brand new pairs of wrangler jeans. Bill found two new shirts.
Then we decided we wanted to eat at a restaurant with a balcony overlooking the beach. We found a place where we had the whole balcony eating area to ourselves and we were able to enjoy ourselves and the view and the sea breeze. It was a most enjoyable day. Even Jeff said he would go back.
We all enjoyed it tremendously. Next time we would like to tour a ship and a submarine that is there for that.
Bill and Christina are homeschooling the girls here. They are doing a good job of it. I hope I helped reassure them with their choice of curriculum. I myself always do a sort of eclectic type. Some of this and some of that. That way we can learn many different things. I think that is what they are going to do too. I should say that is what they are doing. I have enjoyed participating in their family devotions each day.

Sweet Sunday
The people are varied in their jobs just like we are in Hardesty. I met a tug boat captain, a chiropractor and a rancher. Three friends.
Jeff has an interview in Oklahoma city this Friday at 9:30am. I don't know if we will go home and turn around and go back or just stay here and catch it on the way back, that seems to make more sense.
