Sharpen your disposible razor
Slide your razor across the entire length of jeans 10-20 times to take the nicks out of the blade. Then switch directions. Also, be sure to prevent oxidation/rust by keeping the razor dry between uses.

Homemade disinfecting wipes
Today while I was catching up on my blog reading I ran across this hint on Crystal Miller's blog for making homemade disinfecting wipes. I always want to buy the disposable ones but I don't want to use more paper products than I need so this idea appealed to me. She uses cut up t-shirts and instead of Clorox she uses more natural cleaners. That appealed to me as well. For instructions visit:

Uses for thieves' oil
I found this list of uses for thieves oil. I imagine a person should use their own good judgement to decide if and when they should try any of these ideas. I am not making any claims here, just passing on information I have found on the Internet. If even half of the claims are true, it is indeed great stuff. I, myself am going to try a few of the suggestions.
REMEMBER, TRY THESE AT YOUR OWN RISK
1. Mix with a tablespoon of water, gargle and swallow for a sore throat.
2.Apply undiluted to upper chest and rub in for bronchitis.
3.Place a drop on your thumb and apply to the roof of your mouth for a head ache.
4.Put 10-12 drops in a 00 capsule and swallow daily for longevity.
5. For acne, take internally and apply to the skin.

WD-40

'Water Displacement #40'The product began from a search for a rust-preventative solvent and degreaser to protect missile parts. WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. Its name comes from the project that was to find a 'water displacement' compound. They were successful with the 40th formulation, thus WD-40.
The Convair Company bought it in bulk to protect their atlas missile parts. Ken East (one of the original founders) says there is nothing in WD-40 that would hurt you. When you read the 'shower door' part, try it. It's the first thing that has ever cleaned that spotty shower door. If yours is plastic, it works just as well as on glass. Then try it on your stove top ... Viola! It's now shinier than it's ever been. You'll be amazed.
Here are some other uses:
1. Protects silver from tarnishing.
2. Removes road tar and grime from cars.
3. Cleans and lubricates guitar strings.
4. Gives floors that 'just-waxed' sheen without making them slippery.
5. Keeps flies off cows.
6. Restores and cleans chalkboards.
7. Removes lipstick stains.
8. Loosens stubborn zippers.
9. Untangles jewelry chains.
