Another small bag
I really like these smaller tote bags and will be adding them to the medium and large ones I already make.

Smaller tote bag
One of my customers wanted a smaller tote than I usually make. It turned out really cute. Its about a foot wide and high without the straps.

Tote bag redo
This is one of the first feed sack tote bags I ever made. It was a learning experience. A lady wants this bag and as I was looking at it I decided I could not send it to her because it is not good enough.
I ended up reworking the bag and doing a better job. I was even able to add an inside pocket. Now I wont be ashamed to send her the bag. Its good to know I am getting better and better at these bags. At first I had no idea what I was doing. I can whip them out fairly quickly now. I like the reworked bag better because its not so huge but still plenty big.Wednesday, November 16, 2011
Buy local or at least hand made this year
This year if you are able and need a gift I hope that you will support local and or cottage industry type folks where ever possible. Most of the time folks make very nice items for close to the same price you could buy it in the store. Many times they can make custom items for you as well.
In the last few days I have sold soap, lotion, waterless hand cleaner and now today I got an order to sew three feed sack bags using the customers feed sacks.
These sales encourage me that people value hand crafted products made in America.
What about you? Do you buy hand made and hand crafted items for gifts?

What I made today
This is a feed sack tote bag I made from a goat feed bag. I figured out how to add a pocket after the neighbor lady asked me to. Now I am adding them to all the totes I make. This tote is for sale for $10.00 plus shipping.
This is a white hat I made today, it has scalloped edging and twirly bobber things on top. The size if youth/adult. This hat is for sale for $12.00 plus shipping.I can bill you through email and take pay pal. I think you can pay with a credit card as well.
