Canned mini hamburger steaks in onion gravy

Mini Hamburger-Steaks in Onion Gravy

Mini Hamburger-Steaks in Onion Gravy Ingredients for Onion Gravy
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 cups chopped onion
1 1/2 cups of finely chopped bell pepper
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 – 32 oz. carton Beef broth
1 pkg Lipton Golden Onion Soup mix
½ pint ROUX, (Approximately)
1 can cream of onion soup
Heat the olive oil in a large size pan mix the chopped onions and stir well sauté them and add the chopped bell pepper and sauté together about ten minutes. Add the salt, black pepper and garlic powder and stir well.Add in the beef broth and stir well. Stir in approximately ½ pint of Roux tomake a gravy texture. Stir in cream of onion soupl. Heat for about twenty five minutes or until it is broughtto a boil. Set aside in covered pan to set until ready to can.

Ingredients for Mini Hamburger Steaks
5 lbs. fresh ground bee
f1 ½ cups of chopped onion
1 ½ cups bread crumbs
1 ½ tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
½ tablespoon black pepper
4 raw eggs

Mix all of these ingredients well. Roll this mixture out ona cutting board about ½ inch thick and then cut or roll out the miniHamburger-steaks, heat olive oil in a skillet and place the miniHamburger-steaks brown quickly and turn over and brown the other side. Set aside until ready to can. (10-11 pints or 6-7 quarts)

Canning:In heated pint jars: place 3 mini Hamburger-steaks in each jar, OR 6 mini Hamburger-steaks in each quart jar. Pour the onion gravy mix over the mini Hamburger-steaks leaving about one inch of space in the jar. Seal and put into canner. Ones the canner gets to10-11 pounds pressure can pints for 75 minutes, quarts for 90 minutes.I like to serve these over white rice.

Another bottled meat recipe


Here's the Recipe:
1 Quart Bottled Stew Meat, Reserve the Juice
2 Tbsp. Dehydrated Celery
Dehydrated Celery is one of my favorite things to use!
(I've get mine in the #10 cans from Walmart.)
1 Envelope Dry Onion Soup Mix
1 (15-ounce) Can Diced Stewed Tomatoes with Juice
1/2 Beef Broth (Reserved from Bottled Stew Meat)
Optional Pantry Item:
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
(It adds a nice flavor it you have it, but it also tastes great without!)
Instructions:
Place all of the ingredients into a crock-pot
and cook on low for 3 hours.
Serve over potatoes!

Fruit of the spirit soup ~gift in a jar



Lima Beans for Love
Split Peas for Joy
Black Beans for Peace
Red Beans for Long suffering
Pinto Beans for gentleness
Navy Beans for Goodness
Lentils for faith
Black-eyed peas for Meekness
Kidney Beans for temperence

On the tag attached to the jar is the following: On a dark rainy day do you ever become depressed?
Well, most folks do. You don't want to do anything but get in bed and cover your head.

Well, I have a suggestion for you.

Let's make "Fruit of the Spirit Soup!" "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance." Galatians 5:22,23

DIRECTIONS: Soak beans overnight. Cook as usual. Add an onion, a little garlic and your favorite seasonings.

I thought this would make a nice gift. I would maybe change up the wording a bit because I think there are too many well's but that is just my opinion. I wanted to post this so I can find it later.
