My daughter Kaleena and son in law Justin go to church in Rockaway Beach Mo. Their youth pastor and wife had a sweet little baby girl Gracie Honey who had Trisomy 18. She was a gift they knew they might not get to enjoy very long. Gracie went to be with Jesus last night at the age of 57 oops 56 days. She now can breathe easy and is safe in the arms of Jesus. Her parents loved her and shared her with all the people in the church. She was truly a gift from God.
When Gracie's parents went to the doctor they wanted her to abort. Her parents refused. The doctor then refused to be their doctor. Good riddance. When Gracie was born they said her condition was incompatible with life. She lived 56 days and gave so many hope and peace and taught them to pray for life. For a little girl whose life was so brief , it's amazing how many she touched.
God bless you Gracie.
Mollie and Hannah left this morning to visit Kaleena for Kastyn first birthday and were hoping to meet baby Gracie. I think they will be there in time for her funeral. They were crestfallen that they didn't get to meet her but they will see her in heaven. God bless you little Gracie and all the lives you touched and praise God how your parents stayed strong in the Lord even through hard times.

Sympathy
One of the blogs I love to read is Tammy's dehydrating site. I learned so much from her about how to dehydrate. Her site is called Dehydrate 2 Store.
A few weeks ago Tammy's husband suffered a massive heart attack and was suppose to get open heart surgery. I just learned this morning that he passed away. My sympathy's to Tammy and her family.
I know what its like to lose someone you love.

Another loss
My youngest daughter Hannah 's dad died yesterday of a heart attack. He was 39, she will be 15 next month, he would have been 40 next month.
Her dad was a glass blower in Kinsley Kansas.
This is a hard time for Hannah because he had a job two hours away and was looking forward to being closer to her. He was 13 hours away.
July 17th was the 16th anniv. of my husband Charlie's death then two days later Hannah lost her dad.
Life is hard sometimes.

Mark Collier
My cousin Mark Collier died Sunday night. He was my sister Carol's age. He suffered from liver cancer I think. I didn't know him well after we grew up but when we were kids we spent lots of time together.
I remember we used to play together often until they moved away. Even then we would go visit in the summer and go to their ball games with them. The highlight was always an icee after the game. I remember going to the beach once with them. All 6 of us kids were piled into the back of their station wagon. We played around the whole way there and back.
Mark was very smart and worked in the computer industry. I believe he was some kind of programmer. His dad, my uncle was a computer programmer for Diners Club while we were growing up.
Mark was always unsettled and searching. He just couldn't seem to find what ever it was he was looking for. I think it was God he was looking for and I wonder if he ever found him?
I remember he and his wife joined a religious group that we all said was a cult. They gave all their money to them and about starved. Once they had no food and only coffee to drink. They used the frosting off their wedding cake in the freezer to sweeten their coffee. He finally left that sect but I don't know if his wife ever did.
I hope that sometime next month I can take my dad out to Denver to see his brother, my uncle so they can console each other. This is the first of my cousins to die. He was the oldest but he was only in his mid fifties.
My dad has two brothers, Charles (Marks dad) and Richard. Uncle Charles lives in Littleton. Colorado and uncle Richard lives in Barataria, La.
I am sorry that Mark had to suffer so much with his health and ended up dying so young. I wish we had know each other better as we got older.
I will post his obituary if I can find it or when it gets published.
