Even though it was warm it was still quite foggy. Our hair was damp and my glasses even fogged up and stayed that way for a long time. I think Jeff had a good day because he got to spend it with us and do things he wanted to.

Happy Birthday Jeff
December 24th is my husband, Jeff's birthday. For most of his life that day has been pretty much taken up with other goings on so the last few years we have tried to make that day a little more special for him. He likes to go to the beach on that day because he thinks its so neat that its warm enough where we live to do so. Last year it was much colder that day and we had to wear jackets. This year it was in the upper 70's. Much more pleasant. We asked a lady near by to snap a pix of us and she did so. We think it turned out quite well.

Treadmill-Jeff's new home for now

We received our treadmill yesterday. The girls spent a couple of hours putting the uprights and such together. When they were done they were unable to use it because the roller had slipped off side during shipment. I called the factory today and they emailed me a sheet for repairing it. The girls and I were unable to get it fixed so Bill came over and between all of us we were able to get it fixed. Now we just have to figure out how to use all the computer parts of it. I guess I didn't realize how noisy those things are. Well, we will begin using it tomorrow.
Jeff will be home this weekend. He will be bringing my sisters camper home so we can clean it up and return it to her. He is happy to be in his own place now. I am including a few pictures of our new to us 5th wheel.

Life in Africa
Jeff says he gets up at 5:00am, takes a walk along the beach to the pier. He then walks to the end of the pier and there thanks God for his beauty and magesty. He then walks back to his hotel where he has breakfast and gets ready for work. He goes to work at 8:00am and has been enjoying working with the engineers there. They are very respectful of him.
Tomorrow he will go on a small safari..
Sunday he wants to visit a local church to see how they worship there.
He meets Monday with an engineer from Germany. After the meeting he will begin his long flight home. He will be back in the states on the 10th, after leaving on the 8th.
I miss him, but I know this is a wonderful opportunity for him. I am so happy he is in a position of respect and is enjoying his job. This part of being seperated while the house gets sold and we get moved is always the hardest.
I think I have finally learned my lesson as far as putting down roots. Thus far I have setteled in each time as if we are staying forever. We never do. This time I will hopefully be more practical in that I dont get animals and things that require so much care. Things that can be gotten rid of quicker. I have even considered living in a large park model camper just so we can pick up and go quicker to be with Jeff. In any case I will pare it down quite a bit.
