2 raw eggs (organic, free range, cage free)
2 t. to 2 T. coconut oil
2 scoops Whey Pro Protein Powder or SP Complete
1 stick celery
3-4 baby carrots ( use regular carrots, peel and cut into small pieces)
1/8 - 1/4 c. kale
1/4 - 1/2 cup berries of choice (strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, etc.)
Handful of nuts of choice (walnuts, pecans, etc. NO PEANUTS) I haven't used any in mine yet.
Dash of spice of choice (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.) Ive been using cinnamon
Stevia or Grade B maple syrup to sweeten - I use grade b maple syrup
water, coconut milk, goats milk, or almond milk- I use almond milk
*Blend the eggs and oil first
*Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth in your blender.
This is a great tasting drink. We have been using blueberries but will change it up as we get other berries. I use my dehydrated blueberries.
This drink provides energy, protein and fills you up. Its a great way to start the day.
This amount is enough for 2 to 3 servings.

Magic Milk Shakes

■1-1/2 to 2 cups ice water
■1-1/2 cups nonfat dry milk powder
■2/3 cup sugar
■1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
■1 teaspoon vanilla
■1 to 1-1/2 trays of ice cubes, as much as you can spare
■2 tablespoons corn oil plus a 5-second squirt of non-stick spray for emulsification purposes
Place all of the ingredients into the blender, including the oil and the non-stick spray. Use less water for thicker milk shakes and more water for shakes that are easy on your blender motor. The blender should be about 3/4′s full. Place the lid on. Process for a full 2 minutes. Pour into cups and serve. Makes 4 – 12oz servings. For preparation tips please see below.
I love this recipe because it makes very rich milk shakes without any ice cream. I don’t always have ice cream in the house because the kids eat it so fast. With this recipe we can have delicious frosty milk shakes for a fraction of the cost of those using ice cream. And all the ingredients are on the pantry shelf.
Reader’s Tip: A reader named Chris made these with Splenda replacing the sugar measure for measure and said they turned out perfectly. If you like Splenda, then this tip would be a great way to reduce the calories and make them sugar-free. Thanks for sharing Chris!
Variations:
■Add 1 tablespoon of instant coffee for a mocha shake
■Add 1 very ripe banana for a chocolate banana shake
■Add a big spoonful of peanut butter for a decadent Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake.
■Add a few broken red and white candy mints for a refreshing Chocolate Mint shake.
■To make Vanilla Milk Shakes, omit the cocoa powder, reduce the sugar to 1/2-cup and add 1 tablespoon (yes a full tablespoon) of vanilla flavoring. For a french vanilla milk shake crack in an egg too.
■1-1/2 cups nonfat dry milk powder

■1 teaspoon vanilla

Hillbilly Housewife Magic Milk Shake recipe
I love these milk shakes. They are so much more affordable than going to Dairy Queen or Sonic. I never have canned non stick spray, she says not to expect the same results without it but we have never used it and we love these shakes.
I am always wanting something cold and chocolate and this fits the bill.

Russian Friendship Tea Mix

"This is a delicious orangey tea that just smells wonderful! I portion out some of the mix in little holiday ziploc baggies to give as gifts at the holidays. I am always surprised how many people have never had this tea. I have used this recipe for 8 years and have had many positive comments. A nice way to present this tea is to fill a zip-plastic baggie with some of the tea mix and place in a gift mug. This is an instant version of the real Russian tea, which is more like a hot fruity tea punch. Imagine a warm, sweet spiced apple cider, only with a citrusy/orange taste instead.
This will not taste like a brewed black tea. The lemonade mix called for is one tiny packet, enough to make a 2 quart size pitcher (although you only use the mix dry). If you are subbing in sugar-free versions of any ingredients (which do work just fine) be aware that they will weigh less than anything made with sugar, so measuring by volume (such as US type cups and spoons) is key here if you are converting the recipe."
Ingredients
1 -1 1/2 cup sugar ( or less, to taste)
Ingredients
1 -1 1/2 cup sugar ( or less, to taste)
2 cups instant Tang orange drink
1/2 cup sweetened iced tea mix powder
1 (1/4 ounce) envelope unsweetened lemonade mix
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
Directions
Combine all ingredients well and store in an airtight container.
To use, fill a mug with boiling water and stir in 2-3 teaspoons of mix, to taste.
If all you can find is presweetened lemonade, then use the amount of dry mix needed for a 2 quart pitcher according to the package instructions and leave out the sugar.

Hot Chocolate Cones

A perennial winter favorite, hot cocoa with all the trimmings (mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and a cherry-red gumdrop) sports an even sweeter look packaged as a cone. This makes a great gift for babysitters, teachers, and neighbors. Be sure to add a tag letting your recipients know the cone contains enough for four servings.
Ingredients
3/4 cup cocoa mix
2 (6- by 12-inch) cone-shaped cellophane bags (available at party stores)
2 clear rubber bands (we used ponytail holders)
Scissors
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
3/4 cup mini marshmallows
1 large red gumdrop
Instructions
Pour the cocoa mix into one of the bags. Close the bag with a clear rubber band, then trim the end of the bag 1 inch above the band.
Place the cocoa-filled bag into the second bag and flatten its top so the end doesn't stick up.
Layer the chocolate chips and the marshmallows, then top with the gumdrop. Secure the bag with the other rubber band.
This looks like a nice small gift to make up to have on hand for those unexpected times when you want a small gift to give.

Healing hot drink
On the stove is the huge tea pot I bought from Lehman's last winter. I love it. I am making my version of healing hot drink.
In a cup place,
1/4 to 1/2 t. cayenne pepper
1 t. cider vinegar (organic is best)
1 t. lemon or lime juice
1 to 2 t. cinnamon
1 to 2 T. honey
Just so you know. I don't measure any of this so its up to you how much of each you use. Once you have been drinking it you sort of learn how you like it.
Fill cup with hot water.
Now fill your wives cup with hot water. Thanks Jeff.
Stir, inhale the steam, sip and be well.
Cayenne pepper has many healing properties. It helps all body organs and especially the heart. It opens nasal passages, stops bleeding if put on a wound, strengthens the heart muscle. Google it and learn its many benefits.
This drink makes me think of apple cider and is quite pleasant tasting. Don't try to start out using lots of cayenne. That is something you must work up to.

Easy Lemonade
I finally got around to making my lemon poke cake today. I baked it early this morning before it got too hot.
This afternoon I wanted some lemonade. Not koolaid but real lemonade. I used lemon juice I have in my refrigerator. Here is the recipe I used.
1 c. boiling water
3/4 c. xylitol or sugar
mix and cool down with ice cubes
add
1 c. lemon juice
1/4 t. lemon extract
ice and water
This recipe is a little more sour than the koolaid version and tastes more like real lemonade.

Yummy kefir smoothie
I am not a fan of kefir straight. I like to use it in cooking in place of buttermilk or milk. I have been wanting to try a kefir smoothie. I finally broke down and made one some.
Here is what I put in;
kefir
honey
vanilla
banana
ice
It is actually really good. I am glad for a way to use the kefir. I didn't care for it before I put the banana in. Now I am thinking I should have put some cocoa powder in too. Maybe next time. If you have kefir smoothie recipes other than this would you share please?
I am also interested in weather this is a high, medium or low calorie drink.

Jar recipes
HOT SPICED TEA
2 cups Tang
1 package Wylers instant lemonade
2/3 cup lemon flavored instant tea
3 cups sugar
½ tsp ground cloves
½ tsp cinnamon
Mix together in large container and distribute into jars. Instructions attached to jar should read “Mix 3-4 heaping spoonfuls in a mug of hot water.”
Packaging these drink mixes is a snap. You can, of course, buy some cute packaging at a craft store, though I’ve found simple mason jars to be just as lovely (and reusable by the recipient). Look for small mason jars at your grocer (usually well under a dollar apiece), or scope out your favorite thrift store.
Fill each jar with the drink mix of your choosing. Cut a small square of holiday fabric (NO sewing required!) and cover the jar lid. Tie it with ribbon or raffia, attach a cute tag with mixing instructions, and maybe even slip a plastic spoon in the band of ribbon around the lid.
Corny Snack Mix
It's hard to stop munching this yummy snack mix! Melted vanilla chips make a delightful coating for the crisp corn chips, cereal and popcorn. This snack mix is quick and easy to toss together. I40 ServingsPrep/Total Time: 25 min.

1 package (15 ounces) Corn Pops
1 package (15 ounces) corn chips

chips.
In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, melt chips; stir until
