I love old pictures

This picture is obviously of a poor family.  What strikes me is that they are eating together at the table which is not very common now a days.  My family still eats almost every meal together at the table as a family.  The other thing that strikes me is the while obviously poor, this family is eating wholesome food.  What are your observations when you look at this picture?

Hand sewing and laundry

I enjoy looking at these old pictures.  Not only do they tell a story of a time gone by but they remind me of how blessed I am.  When I think I have it hard or my home isn't what I want it to be these pictures remind me that I have it very well off indeed.

I still hang my wash to dry.  Jeff doesnt like his clothes dried in a dryer either.
