Cleaning the molds and trays

Today we decided that when we pulled stone we would clean the molds and mold trays. We did some maintenance on them as well, some needed screws etc. We clean molds and trays every two or three weeks when we are making lots of stone or when we switch stone styles.

We then cleaned the garage and rearranged the pouring area hoping it will be more convenient. Its a tight fit already trying to pour stone in a two car garage, but we do it. I am hoping this new arrangement makes it easier on those pouring. We got rid of a bunch of stuff and moved other stuff to other sheds if it isn't needed now. No sense having stuff in the way when it can be stored elsewhere.

Right now I have water in the mixer and am hoping it softens some of the mix so I can chisel it cleaner. No matter how hard I try, I never get the mixer all the way clean.

Jeff greased everything and fixed electrical cords that needed attention. Now he is working on the riding mower. It needs a belt. If he can get it going it will sure help us keep up with the mowing easier. We just cant do it with only one push mower.

When we make stone if there is any leftover mix we use it to make something else, like stepping stones, drip molds, ten commandment stone sets etc. Anyway, the molds are in big heavy trays. Today we cleaned off shelves and got rid of the trays. We put the extra molds on the newly cleaned shelves.
