Edible landscaping

I have heard a lot about edible landscaping and it makes sense to me. This year we have planted cucumbers, zucchini, yellow squash, scallop squash and acorn squash in the front area of our yard where it used to have two big trees. We planted the cucumbers to climb up the new lattice we put on the front of the porch. I think the zucchini looks similar to elephant ear plants so I figured why not? We also planted several types of flowers in and around the vegetables. I wanted the garden close to the house to be more useful to us. Easier to weed, water, pick and plant.
