Steam canner

Steam Canner Item #: 400A Our price: $69.99
Back to basics.

I bought one of these steam canners a couple of years ago. It is made of lightweight aluminum. I love it but I am not impressed with the quality of the product.

While garage sale shopping we found a brand new, still in box steam canner. It was marked $10.00. My son in law got it for $5.00. It is made of much heavier metal. I am so happy with this buy.

I've been looking at those, but felt the same about the quality. Can you tell who yours is made by?

Wonderful! I've had a similar experience. The first one I bought was pretty cheap and flimsy, although it did the job. Later I bought a much better one. I haven't used it yet, but I will be giving it lots of use this year!

Linda,
Do you want to know who made my first one or my newest one? The frist one is from the Back to Basics like the one listed on my post.
I will have to wait until I get back home to let you know who made the newer and better one.
Yolanda,
The handles on my first one are flimsy and such, I plan to use them at the same time just like I use two pressure canners at the same time. I sure like not having that big pot of water to lug over to the sink.
I first heard about it on Paul and Berniece Nolls canning site. Their site is listed on my side bar.
