Pork & Beans turn into baked beans

I love baked beans but I don't like paying twice as much for them as I can buy pork and beans for so looked on the Internet and found this recipe using pork and beans. Its really good too.
1 onion (diced)
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. ketchup
1 t. mustard
1 t. salt
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
bacon bits.
Saute the onion in a tablespoon of olive or vegetable oil. When transparent add 3 cans of pork and beans and other ingredients listed above. Heat through and serve.

The original recipe called for 1/2 c. water, dry mustard, real bacon and to bake in oven for 3 hours. I used what I had on hand and cooked it on the stove. It was a hit. I will make it again and again.

That does sound good. I have a question... My husband just build two nice long bench/shelve things for my greenhouse. It is completely unheated, but I would like to make better use of the space in there. I don't even know where to start. I have a 4 X 16 raised bed down the center and now one 12"x8' and one 12" x 10', 18 inch high shelves. And he's going to make a nice thing to hang in the middle too. That problem at this point is, I don't know what I'm going to do with them. Any suggestions? Like I said, it is unheated, and will stay that way. I would like to maybe grow some flowers to enjoy in there, but mainly am thinking in terms of FOOD. I don't even know where to start. I already know how to use the raised bed. I plant that in August and we eat from it all winter and into the spring. But the shelves....

Are the bench shelve things above the ground so you can utilize both the ground and the shelf?
If so than you have doubled your growing area.
Two suggestions are to watch the videos on Laughing dog farm site that is listed on my side bar. I believe they grow stuff all year round.
Second suggestion is to read Elliot Coleman's book on four season gardening.
I myself am a beginner in the growing year round thing. One thing I do know you can do is to put row covers over the rows in the greenhouse in cold weather to act like a greenhouse inside of a greenhouse.
I am by no means an expert, I fly by the seat of my pants and experiment constantly.
