You house is so very beautiful. Does it have a history ? It reminds me of always of somewhere I have been , but I cant quite put a finger on it. I love learning about the history of places. The snow here is melting , but that just means its going to snow again. LOL
I know what you mean about the gardening , I just cant wait. Then I ca have an impressive pantry for the NEXT winter. :)
Happy, Yes my house does have a history. People refer to it as the house that used to be across the road. It was built originally in 1917 across the road from us. The people we bought it from inherited this land (where it is now) and they moved it across the road onto a good foundation with a partial basement. They spent the next four years remodeling it while they lived out back in a camper. So we now have a beautiful home and have camper hookups outside as well. When we bought this house the people gave us a picture of the house when it was across the street (hiway actually) and the people who built it. If you fly over our house it is in the shape of a cross. Nearly everyone around here knows this house even towns around because its on the hiway and it is pretty. It has a wrap around porch we love to sit on in the spring, summer and fall. We love this house, I just wish we didnt owe so much on it. I should scan the photo of the original house and the people who built it and put it on my blog. We are friends now with the people we bought the house from. They actually came and stayed with us once. Isnt that cool?
that is so cool that you know its history. So mnay people dont know their homes history. I would love to see an older picture compared to now. (I am a closet history person ).
I love when a house is SO loved that people move it :) It really does take on so much more of a meaning when that happens.
I have always loved your house. Even when I was little traveling from Boise City to eastern Oklahoma, I always noticed that house. When I married Leon and he told be who lived there it was neat because my maiden name was the same as their last name. They also had a daughter named Beverly.
