Please pray for my husband

Jeff's new job has him working 11-12 hours a day. He is still having a hard time adjusting to the long hours as well as the manual labor. Yesterday, he worked 11 hours, came home, showered, ate and watched part of a movie then headed to bed.

He was not in bed more than 15 min. when the phone rang. It was the plant, they were having problems and he headed back to town. He worked another 5 hours, came home, slept for two hours and is currently working another 11-? hour day.

Please pray with me that he does not get over-exhausted and gets into an accident either at the plant or on the drive home. He drives about 30 min. each way to work.

The bad part is, is that the guy who drives him so hard hasn't showed up for work yet today, Jeff has been there for about 4 hours. Just pray for strength for him, please.

When you posted it was morning...it is now afternoon where I am ~ was he able to rest?

I pray that it was so. Because of this economy, many bosses are taking advantage of the fact that workers can not complain because then they will be left without a job.

Remember dear friend, that the Lord knows and it is given His stregth to your dear husband.

Blessings,

Maria

It is so hard seeing your dear one go through this. We are so blessed with these wonderful men who will work away their lives to keep us and our children taken care of. My husband had to quit the job I told you about. He is nearly 64. The 10 hour nights and the steep learning curve were just more than he could take. He got up one afternoon and told me how he had been feeling and I just burst into tears. I told him there was no point in him doing this. The only reason he took the job was to get health insurance for us, and obviously, the job was going to make his so he NEEDS the health insurance! So, he has retired now and is drawing social security. We are blessed, though, with a lot of experience in knowing how to get by. We will be fine. I will pray for your husband, and for you! These are tough times. Bless his heart.
